L1VE is a growing media and technology company with locations in Berlin and New York. With immersive 12K, 3D and 360° streaming technologies and innovative live formats, L1VE is transforming the way people experience sports, music and entertainment.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a full-time Head of Finance to join us as soon as possible. In this role, you will take overall responsibility for developing our finance function and create the financial structures and decision-making foundations for L1VE's next phase of growth.
Your Role
As Head of Finance, you will act as a strategic partner to our CFO and executive team. You will translate the overarching finance strategy into scalable structures, robust planning and management models, and clear governance and reporting processes.
You will combine strategic foresight with strong execution skills: you will assess growth options, develop financial models and scenarios, and make opportunities, risks and economic implications transparent to management. In this role, you will work closely with our CFO in New York, the executive team, functional departments and internal and external finance partners.
Your Responsibilities
• Develop and implement L1VE's finance architecture with a focus on growth, profitability, transparency and international scalability
• Own integrated financial planning, business cases, financial models and scenarios as a basis for strategic decision-making
• Evaluate business models, investments, partnerships and growth options, including their financial opportunities, risks and implications
• Support financing rounds, investor readiness, due diligence and the preparation of strategic transactions in close coordination with the CFO
• Manage management and investor reporting and further develop relevant KPIs, forecasts and governance structures
• Manage interfaces with finance administration, accounting, tax advisors, auditors and other external finance partners
Your profile
• At least seven years of professional experience in finance, including several years in a strategically responsible finance role - ideally as Head of Finance, VP Finance, Finance Director or in a comparable position within a startup, scale-up, technology, media or international corporate environment
• Experience building scalable finance structures and working with integrated financial planning, business planning, financial modeling and management reporting
• Sound knowledge of business performance management, governance, risk management and the evaluation of business models, investments and growth options
• Experience with financing processes, investor reporting, due diligence or M&A is an advantage
• Ability to structure complex financial topics clearly and act as a strategic sparring partner to the CFO, executive team and functional departments
• Strong analytical and entrepreneurial thinking, a high degree of independence and a strong sense of ownership
• Confident and practical use of AI tools in finance; you can demonstrate with specific examples which AI-supported solutions you have implemented and what additional value they created
• Excellent written and spoken English and confident use of finance, reporting and collaboration tools; German language skills are an advantage
